STATE GRANT
State educational grant
It covers the cost of bachelor’s studies in full. You can get it by taking part in the national grant competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
What the competition requires
- Reach the UNT pass score
- Choose the B057 study program “Information technologies”
- Submit your documents within the dates set by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Meet the admission requirements of the university
Additional steps to enter QAIRU
- Take the internal QAIRU Potential Test (QPT)
- Confirm your level of English: IELTS Academic — from 5.0, TOEFL ITP — from 460, TOEFL iBT — from 65, or take an interview in English
There are no state grants for master’s programs or the Executive MBA — admission to these levels is on a fee-paying basis only.
FOUNDER’S GRANT
QAIRU Founder’s Grant
A chance to have 100% of your tuition at QAIRU paid through a special competitive selection. The competition is made for talented school students from across the country who are ready to prove themselves, to offer their own ideas and to show high potential regardless of their experience.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
Three stages
Stage I — Online application
Fill in the application and tell us about yourself.
Stage II — Online selection
Assessment of analytical thinking, solving a practical case, tasks on how fast you learn, an online interview.
Stage III — Final at QAIRU
Project sessions, masterclasses, work in teams, defending your own project before an expert panel.

- are ready to take part in every stage of the competition
- meet the admission requirements of the university
Why it is worth taking part
Even if you do not have much experience in programming or artificial intelligence yet — that is not an obstacle. What matters to us is:
